Narrative references to Jesus as Christ have also been changed, though the characters in the story are still allowed to call Him Christ.

Then he suffered him. It is important to know Matthew in order to understand the Bible! This plain declaration of Christ has been disregarded by many who have taken pains to explain it away; but in all ages the real disciple of Christ has been looked on as a singular, unfashionable character; and all that have sided with the greater Matthew book, have gone on in the broad road to destruction.

Still, it would not be surprising in principle to learn that Matthew, Mark or any other early Jewish Christian wrote a gospel in Hebrew; Hebrew was the language used in the synagogue, and Christians initially tried to witness within the synagogues.

Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free. The Law became an idol to them. And behold, the star that they had seen when it rose went before them until it came to rest over the place where the child was. May the Lord make us wise builders for eternity. Why is Matthew so important? Likewise, the church is in the Kingdom, but the Kingdom of Heaven, simply stated, is the reign of the heavens over the earth.

They were under Roman government at the time of the birth of Jesus and throughout the period of the New Testament. Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.

Still, when there are differences, the New Testament writers usually draw from the Septuagint. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

After the resurrection the remaining disciples return to Galilee, "to the mountain that Jesus had appointed", where he comes to them and tells them that he has been given "all authority in heaven and on Earth. And this sermon, ever so often read over, is always new.
